Recent NHISPA action
Early in 2000 the NHISPA responded to PUC staff data requests and to data
requests by the Office of the Consumer Advocate as this docket went into a
formal process. Some NHISPA responses were deemed insufficient by the PUC
staff and the NHISPA was presented with a PUC order to compel responses by
the end of June, 2000, with which the NHISPA complied.
In August/September 2000 a series of settlement conferences was convened
at the PUC offices. These did not yield a conclusion.
In November 2000 two days of formal hearings were held before PUC
commissioners on this docket. Testimony was given by members of the NHISPA,
by representatives from Verizon, by PUC Staff, and others. Following these
hearings, time was allowed for a set of additional data requests of various
parties to be answered. The next step will likely be for the commissioners
to make a ruling.
Remaining Schedule
- Dec 2000: data requests due.
- ??: ruling to be given.
